Thanks to Eish!!

Thanks to Eish!! for a really nice review in anticipation of the Blog Awards: : Jackie Bischof is a young journalist living in Johannesburg. She is using her blog to hone her journalistic and writing skills while bringing her views and experiences of Johannesburg to the world. The content is varied and Jackie is not afraid to voice an opinion, which makes for enthralling reading. It will be interesting to follow if this becomes a path to a career in mainstream media or if she follows this ‘new media’ route. One thing is for certain, Johannesburg should keep her supplied with many topics to write about.

Thanks so much!

Keep holding thumbs guys 🙂

    Hi Aneesah!

Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply … The area I was living in was definitely safe and I didn’t have a problem in the two years I was living there. Of course, like any suburb in Johannesburg you have to keep your guard up. Try not to drive home late alone, look for a place that has an electric gate and has armed response, be careful when you drive around, and don’t walk to your car alone when you go out on Main or in Old Melville etc … Common sense will prevail. Otherwise the area is fantastic, great for walking / running, nice neighbours and a wonderful community overall.
